LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Clark County School District Board of Trustees will discuss how and when to fill one of its spot, left open following a trustee’s resignation.
District B Trustee Katie Williams resigned amid allegations that she was living out of state while serving the Board. Williams’ term was set to expire at the end of the year.

During Thursday’s meeting, the Board will discuss the timeline of filling the position. The proposed timeline includes:
- Sunday, Sept. 29 and Sunday, Oct. 6: Vacancy announcements published
- Friday, Oct. 18 at 4 p.m.: Applications for the position due
- Monday, Oct. 21: Verification that candidates are registered District B voters
- Tuesday, Oct. 22: Candidates contacted via email and applications provided to trustees
- Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 9 a.m.: Special Board Meeting for oral interviews and the Oath of Office.
The application for the position includes questions about whether they’ve been a resident of the District for at least 30 days as of the application due date, whether they are a registered voter in the district, and their qualifications to fill the seat.
A District B Trustee will be elected in the November general election on Nov. 5. Lydia Dominguez and Eileen Eady are both running to fill the role.
