LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police have arrested an 18-year-old in connection to a northeast valley shooting that left another teen dead.
18-year-old Browdy Lee Shaffer was taken into custody in connection to the shooting Wednesday, according to LVMPD arrest records.
On Monday, officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department found a high school-aged teenager suffering from a gunshot wound in the 6900 block of Kepler Driver.
The teen would later die at UMC. The Clark County Coroner has identified him as 15-year-old James Lobue Jr.
During a briefing, LVMPD Lt. Jason Johansson revealed that the victim was inside an apartment with several other juveniles before the shooting. Police are still trying to figure out who was in the apartment at the time and if a fight ensued.
Shaffer is currently being held at Clark County Detention Center and is set to appear before a judge on Thursday, Sept. 5.
