LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5)—The City of Henderson will pay for the repairs to the water and plumbing issues that have impacted Somerset Park residents.
Somerset Park residents were asked to evacuate their homes because the water and plumbing infrastructure was no longer compliant with city law.
Mayor Romero said the HOA has failed residents in the area.
“Today, I am announcing action we are taking on behalf of our residents,” said Mayor Romero. “if the HOA cannot or will not fix this problem, we will,”

Residents are not required to leave their homes while the new system is installed and the Mayor explained disruptions will be minimal.
The City estimates the cost to fix the system is between 400 to 600 thousand.
According to Mayor Romero, after all fixes are completed, Somerset Park’s water and plumbing will be in compliance with the Henderson Municipal Code and Nevada state law.
