LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A new report from the Nevada Gaming Control Board showed a nearly 7% decrease in gaming wins for the state last month.
According to the report, Nevada’s overall winnings for July 2024 totaled $1,306,786,985, which is 6.91% down from last year’s total around this time, which sat at $1,403,811,560.
One of that state’s biggest losses came from the Las Vegas Strip, which saw a 15% decrease for the month. However, Downtown Las Vegas would see an almost 10% increase in their winnings.
In Washoe County, North Lake Tahoe would also bring in more than 14% in winnings, while Reno and Sparks would only report losses for July.
Based on July’s taxable revenue from the winnings, the report also notes that the state collected $95,890,921 in percentage fees this month.
