CARSON CITY, Nev. (KOLO) – Robert F. Kennedy will remain on Nevada’s ballot for the general election in November despite suspending his campaign.
Kennedy, who was running as an independent, announced Friday that he would be ending his presidential bid and endorsing GOP nominee Donald Trump.
The Nevada Secretary of State’s Office says the last day for a presidential candidate to withdraw from the race is seven days after the deadline to file, excluding holidays and weekends, which was Aug. 9. The deadline for Kennedy to withdraw would have been before this past Tuesday, Aug. 20.
The Secretary of State’s Office says Kennedy has not filed anything with their office to withdraw his candidacy.
