PAHRUMP, Nev. (FOX5) – Two years later, police arrested a suspect in a deadly Pahrump DUI crash.
Nevada State Police said they identified Damian Berry, 41, as the driver in a roll-over crash that happened on Sept. 11, 2022 at Bourbon Street and Hall Avenue.
The Nye County Sheriff’s Office responded. Officers found a Chevrolet Classic and two unrestrained occupants. One of the occupants, Michael Kilgore, who was 53 at the time, died at the scene. Berry was transported to UMC.
Police said Berry had a BAC of .14 and marijuana in his system. Through DNA, Nevada State Police’s homicide unit would discover he was the driver.
On July 20, police issued an arrest warrant for him through the Pahrump Justice Court. On Aug. 8, Berry was arrested in Las Vegas and booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
On Aug. 15, he was transferred to the Nye County Detention Center where he remains in custody with a $500K bail.
