LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – When The Mirage closed last month, FOX5 reported on the uncertain future of one of the resort’s special members, George the duck.
After Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary took George in, they shared the duck’s gender reveal.
There were online debates of the George’s gender since reporter Victoria Saha shared the story.

Veterinarians were unsure of George’s gender when he arrived as well.
Thanks to a DNA test, George is a boy! The sanctuary threw a gender reveal party Friday to celebrate the announcement.
George’s wing is also not hurt, per the latest update. He does have a neurological issue rooting from poor diet of bread and hot dogs when he lived on the Las Vegas Strip.
Since moving, he has been eating better and he will soon join the rest of the birds when he finishes quarantine on Aug. 20.
