LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Saturday, the Lion Habitat Ranch will celebrate World Lion Day.
Join the nonprofit through the weekend from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to see the lions.
The habitat will host a lion costume contest at noon. The winner gets an opportunity to feed a lion. There will also be a kids scavenger hunt and some other prizes.
The ranch continues to grieve over the recent loss of Ozzie the giraffe. The team is wrapping up a tough week.
“It’s really hurtful for us,” said Denise Souffrant, manager of the Lion Habitat Ranch. “We want to remember him. He’s at peace now. We would just want to remember his memory and continue to thank the community for their support.”
