LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A deadly shooting has shut down the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 in Las Vegas just after 8:30 Thursday evening.
Metro police tell FOX5 a vehicle was driving on the I-15 southbound when a person from another vehicle shot at them. The shooting caused the driver of the vehicle to crash into the center median of the freeway, police said.
The victim was struck at least once according to police. The driver was transported to a hospital where they later died.
The southbound lanes are closed between Spring Mountain and Flamingo Roads.
Police did not provide information on if a suspect is in custody or if they are searching for the shooter.
