LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – JD Vance visits Nevada as the Republican Vice Presidential nominee for the first time Tuesday.
He is set to make remarks in Henderson around 1 p.m. at Liberty High School before heading north to speak at the Reno Sparks Convention Center.

CONTEXT: Vance set to make first stop in Nevada as Republican vice presidential nominee
According to the Trump Vance Campaign, “As Vice President, JD Vance will help President Trump fight to ease the financial pressures placed on households and re-establish law and order in Nevada!”
Vance’s visit is happening as he faces criticism about past comments he has made about women including Vice President and presumptive Democratic Presidential Nominee Kamala Harris.
“With the vice president leading our party as our nominee, she’s the most prepared and qualified person to defeat Donald Trump, to govern into the future. And people are behind that,” said Rep. Steven Horsford (D-Nev.).
FOX5 reporter Victoria Saha spoke to attendees. They say they’re eager to hear what he has to say and see what his goals are if elected.
“I want to make [the country] healthy and make it prosperous,” said attendee Dan Simon. “Came out here today because at the age of age 75 I only voted 3 times and all 3 times has been and will be for President Trump.”
“We are definitely a swing state,” said attendee Sandy Tavola. “I don’t know too much about him so I’m excited to hear what he has to say. love our country and our flag and I want to honor it.”
