LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A woman was left with critical injuries following a crash in the east valley on Sunday night.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the crash occurred at 7:37 p.m. at the intersection of South Nellis and Winterwood Boulevards.
An initial investigation revealed that a 2019 Chevrolet Trax was traveling south on Nellis and attempted to make a left turn onto Winterwood. At the same time, a 2015 Honda Accord was traveling north on Nellis, approaching the intersection.
The front of the Honda would collide with the right-front of the Chevrolet, causing both vehicles to rotate off the road and strike a block wall.
All occupants of each vehicle were transported to Sunrise Hospital for treatment of their injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet – identified only as a 66-year-old woman – sustained critical injuries and remains at Sunrise for continued medical interview.
Police say they do not believe impairment was a factor in the crash, though it remains under investigation.
