LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Thieves are attacking vape and smoke shop stores around the Las Vegas Valley.
On Wednesday, the Henderson Police Department told FOX5 it confirms seven burglaries at smoke shops from March 2024 until Wednesday. This comes just a day after the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department told us it is investigating a “series” of thefts around the valley.
Break Time Vape says two of its valley stores have been hit a total of four times in July alone.
The store says it wanted to speak out to warn other businesses of what’s happening. Security video from the business shows thieves breaking windows to gain access to the stores. Once inside they stole product, along with a cash register and safe. The business says $20,000 worth of product was taken from its store on Blue Diamond.
A store on Sky Pointe, near U.S. 95 and Centennial Parkway, has been hit too. However, thieves weren’t always able to get into the store after the first burglary there.
The business says it plans to put up security fencing at its stores.
