There are few venues on the Las Vegas Strip that fit the “one-stop shop” definition quite like Wally’s Wine & Spirits, an outpost of the Southern California institution that combines not only dining and wine tasting but also shopping. Have a great bottle of wine during your dinner or brunch? Buy a bottle afterwards!
Where to start on this incredible menu? It’s gotta be the cheese and charcuterie section. Pair an English Shropshire blue or an Italian Fontal with Brooklyn salami or duck salami. All are sublime. If you’re willing to spend the coin, you can accompany these with Calvisius caviar varieties, served with crème fraîche and potato blini.
If you’re here for brunch, you can go traditional (the lobster Benedict features Provencal tomato, squash and piquant harissa sauce), try something a bit more adventurous (the wood oven-baked Brie and truffle Bolognese—featuring veal truffle ragu bianco—are both excellent), or go a bit lighter with Paul’s endive salad, flavored with green apple, Emmental cheese and honey citron vinaigrette, or a tuna melt with albacore and Gruyère.
You’ll find many of the brunch delights on the dinner menu as well, but please explore, as you’ll find so many substantial courses. Towering above all others is the Hundred Dollar Chicken, whole roasted and served with fingerling potatoes, broccolini, truffle chicken jus and shaved truffle.
Desserts are all great finishers, but we recommend the chocolate board, an assortment of dark and milk chocolates, nuts and fruits.
