LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – President Joe Biden is expected to visit College of Southern Nevada as he continues his two-day tour in the Las Vegas Valley.
He’s expected to take the stage to speak on economics at the Vote to Live Prosperity Summit. Representative Steven Horsford is also expected at the event.
A member of Horsford’s team told FOX5 they will discuss economic opportunities, community wealth building and affordable housing. They say the president will also be addressing the proposal he announced Tuesday morning. It’s a five percent cap on annual rent increases for tenants of major landlords.
As far as security, University Police, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and Secret Service is seen patrolling the event.
This event does not conclude the president’s visit. Wednesday, Biden is scheduled to speak at UnidosUS annual convention followed by another campaign event.
