LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A small, private airplane made an emergency landing in Death Valley National Park earlier this month.
The landing happened July 2. The airplane was headed from Pahrump to Ridgecrest, CA when it started experiencing engine issues. The plane tried to land at a nearby airstrip but instead made an emergency landing on California Highway 178 west of Salisberry Pass in Bradbury Wash.
Inyo County Sheriff, Caltrans and California Highway Patrol all responded to the area to help escort the plane off the highway to free up traffic. The plane was later removed by a trailer.
No one was injured.
