LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Thousands of customers lost power around the Las Vegas Valley Saturday night amid rolling storms.
According to the NV Energy outage map, over 18,000 customers were without power in Clark County around 8 p.m.
Around Summerlin Parkway and Rainbow, approximately 2,200 customers were without power. In Henderson, several outages were reported along Green Valley between Warm Springs and Sunset.
The hardest hit zip code was 89014, which had over 12,000 customers without power.
The bulk of the outages were resolved within the hour.
The outages come amid lightning storms around the Las Vegas Valley. The area had just seen a record heat wave.
