LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Southern Nevada Health District and Clark County School District are offering vaccinations ahead of the 2024-25 school year.
The school year begins Aug. 12, so guardians are encouraged to make appointments for vaccinations soon, especially for kindergartners, 7th and 12th graders.
CCSD requires the following vaccinations for students enrolling in school:
- Chickenpox (varicella)
- Hepatitis A
- Hepatitis B
- Polio
- Tetanus-Diphtheria-Pertussis (DTaP and Tdap)
- Quadrivalent meningitis, and
- Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR)
For families who have recently moved to Nevada, the Health District emphasized the hepatitis A vaccination, as it is not required in all states and may need to be updated.

HOW TO FIND YOUR IMMUNIZATION RECORDS
If you are vaccinating a child at an SNHD clinic, you should bring immunization records. These can be provided from your healthcare provider.
If the child was immunized in Nevada, you can visit Nevada WebIZ, the statewide immunization registry. You can access those records online or call Nevada WebIZ at (775) 684-5954. Non-custodial adults may accompany a child; however, written consent must be provided to SNHD from the parent or guardian at the time of service.
