LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Two Las Vegas-area water parks are instituting a new chaperone policy.
Cowabunga Bay in Henderson and Cowabunga Canyon in the southwest valley are instituting the new policy due to “expected high crowd volumes.” They said the policy will go into effect immediately.
Anyone 16 or under will now need to be accompanied by an adult 21 or older on event days, such as Cowabunga’s Fourth of July “Red, White and KABOOM” July 3-5. They said it’s in effect during operating hours, open to close.
The water parks also said the responsible adult must have valid ID and the adult must be present at all times. No dropoffs will be allowed for anyone under 16. Each adult may accompany up to six guests.
More details on the police change are in the FAQ section of Cowabunga’s website.
