LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers were dispatched to a shooting incident at a Laughlin apartment complex on June 24 at approximately 10:30 a.m.
Officers responded to the 1700 block of Cal Edison Drive and found an unresponsive woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound inside an apartment. Medical personnel responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
An investigation by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated that the victim was shot by her boyfriend, 43-year-old Paul Herrera, during an argument. The suspect was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on a charge of open murder.
The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
