LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A pedestrian was left with serious injuries Sunday night after being struck by a car in the southwest valley.
According to police, the pedestrian was injured while attempting to cross Blue Diamond Road, near South Cimarron Road, outside of a marked crosswalk and against the traffic signal. Evidence at the scene indicated that a 2012 Toyota Corolla had been traveling east on Blue Diamond before colliding with the man.
The man was transported to the University Medical Center Trauma Center, where he is being treated.
The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
