A computer outage delaying the check-in process at MGM Resorts International properties in Las Vegas has been fixed and lines are returning to normal lengths, the company told the Sun.
“The front desk hotel booking system was down briefly this afternoon and was restored shortly after. Everything running normally since,” a spokesperson wrote in an email.
Video posted to social media by visitors showed long lines at MGM properties such as New York-New York, Luxor and Excalibur. One person posted on X that they waited three hours at New York-New York.
Officials haven’t said what caused the outage.
The company also experienced delays at check-in last September when it was the victim of a cyber attack. Those disruptions prevented credit card transactions, crashed the BetMGM sports betting mobile app and company websites, and prevented digital access to guest rooms.
