LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A 33-year-old man is fighting for his life after a crash in the central valley on Monday night.
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the man was determined to be riding a 2003 Honda CBR600 on West Charleston Boulevard, approaching an intersection on Westwind Road, around 9:10 p.m. A 2017 Ram 2500 was also traveling through the intersection.
The rider of the Honda failed to stop for a red traffic signal and entered the intersection, striking the left-front side of the Ram. The Honda then overturned and ejected the rider.
Arriving emergency medical services determined that the rider had life-threatening injuries, and transported him to UMC Trauma.
Police added that the driver of the Ram remained on the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
The collision remains under investigation by LVMPD.
