LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A 70-year-old man is dead after a North Las Vegas house caught on fire Saturday morning.
At 5:30 a.m., the North Las Vegas Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire in the 4200 block of Seth Drive, near Craig Road and Simmons Street. Arriving units observed smoke coming from the single-story house via a vent.
After entering the home, firefighters discovered a 70-year-old man on the floor, suffering from second and third-degree burns. The man was transported to University Medical Center, where he would later die.
Firefighters reported no other occupants in the house and extinguished the fire.
Damages are estimated to be $250,000, though the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
