LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Two men are dead after a shooting early Sunday morning in the northeast valley.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department received reports of the shooting around 12:03 a.m., and officers responded to the 700 block of West Owens Avenue shortly after.
A man was located at the scene, suffering from a gunshot wound. He would later die at the scene.
Sometime later, dispatchers received another report of an individual walking into an area hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers were able to determine that the person was wounded in the shooting on West Owens.
The individual would also die at the hospital, according to police.
A preliminary investigation by LVMPD revealed that several individuals were gathered in the parking lot of a business, and a verbal altercation between the individuals quickly escalated into a shooting.
