In early November, LPM Restaurant & Bar quietly opened in The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, with LPM chief executive Nicolas Budzynski looking over every detail of the French-inspired restaurant, the newest installation of the brand and only the second in the country.
It’s an elegant space imbued with color, from the décor to the art. “Joie de vivre—this unbridled enjoyment of life—is at the core of every intricate detail at LPM, making Las Vegas a natural fit for us,” Budzynski said in a news release.
With inspiration drawn from French artist Jean Cocteau (the bar’s cocktail menu features both drinks and stories from the life of the bon vivant), meals are packed full of flavor and a bit of surprise, with starting dishes like burrata with cherry tomatoes and basil, escargots de Bourgogne (this is a signature item that earns rave reviews), and green lentil salad with apple and burnt tomatoes.
Main courses include such items as homemade gnocchi with cherry tomatoes, whole sea bream, coquelet au citron confit (marinated baby chicken) and canard à l’orange, a variation on the classic French dish. Larger dishes include bone-in ribeye with potato galette and bordelaise sauce, a whole roasted chicken with foie gras and a whole grilled sea bass.
“Our aim with every dish we serve is to create delicately intense and memorable flavors guests cannot find elsewhere,” said Budzynski. Mission accomplished!
