LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The U.S. Postal Inspection Service says they are looking for a person accused of robbing a letter carrier in late April.
USPS said that the incident happened around 12:54 p.m. on Monday, April 29. It happened at 7627 Lone Tree Peak Street near N. Hualapai Way and Farm Road.
The service says they are offering a reward up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person accused. Officials said information provided by the public will be kept strictly confidential.
“The U.S. Postal Inspection Service takes the safety of USPS employees seriously,” officials say.
Robbery of a USPS employee is a federal offense and could be punishable by up to 25 years in prison.
Officials say the public should take no action to apprehend this person.
