Avelo Airlines will begin service from Hollywood Burbank Airport to Las Vegas starting next month, it was announced Wednesday.
“As Avelo approaches the third anniversary of our first flight from (Burbank), we’re excited to make Vegas our 14th popular destination from LA’s most popular airport,” Avelo Airlines CEO Andrew Levy said in a statement. “We were very encouraged by the strong customer response we received when we offered special flights between (Burbank) and (Las Vegas) for football’s big game in February.”
Avelo announced it will operate the new route on Fridays and Sundays, beginning May 3.
“Our passengers know how easy it is to fly from Hollywood Burbank Airport to Las Vegas,” Hollywood Burbank Airport Executive Director Frank Miller said. “We are pleased that Avelo Airlines is making it even more convenient for travelers to do so.”
Avelo launched on April 28, 2021, with commercial service from its first base in Burbank. Since then, the airline reports it has flown 1.1 million customers from Burbank on more than 9,000 flights.
The airline serves 51 destinations in 23 states and Puerto Rico.
