LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Thousands of items from the Tropicana in Las Vegas are listed for sale on a liquidations service website as the famed hotel and casino prepares to close on Tuesday.
Guest bedroom furniture, kitchen equipment, and even crystal chandeliers from the Havana Club on property are posted on the International Content Liquidations website along with photos and videos. The items need to go before the demolition of the buildings to make way for a proposed 30,000-seat Major League Baseball stadium home to the Oakland A’s. The sale is currently a private VIP preview that’s marketed towards the hospitality industry before it opens to the public, possibly later next month according to Frank Long, owner of ICL.
“We got a call to our restaurant saying that they were selling some equipment to restaurants and stuff like that,” Jose Ferrero, a food and beverage manager at a restaurant in Sun City, Summerlin, said. “So we’re coming down here to take a look and see if there’s anything interesting.”
Ferrero came to the Tropicana on Friday to preview the items available with Marvin Calorera, another food and beverage manager at a restaurant in Sun City, Summerlin.

“I’m not really looking into anything too big, just like furniture for right now and I mean if I could find any bar equipment,” Calorera said.
ICL also has a price list of items including king-size beds for $99 to artwork for $1.
An item not for sale on the website is the Tiffany-style glass ceiling above the main pit area by the entrance of the hotel. A spokesperson said that it will be preserved in a warehouse until a decision is made with it.
ICL plans to announce a date for when the public can purchase items.
