LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — With baseball season underway the valley’s own Las Vegas Aviators swing into action with a home opener series at the Las Vegas Ballpark.
The Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics and Pacific Coast League team kicks off its 2024 regular season with a three-game home season against the Reno Aces, the Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. It all starts on Friday, March 29 at 7:05 p.m.
The opening weekend starts with a flyover from the U.S. Air Force’s 17th Weapons Squadron before the game and concludes with a postgame fireworks show.
“It will be a tremendous opening weekend welcoming Triple-A baseball back to Las Vegas,” explained Aviators President and C.O.O. Don Logan.
This marks the start of the 41st season for the Aviators with a total of 150 games scheduled. The team is wholly owned by Howard Hughes Holdings, Inc., developer of the master-planned community of Summerlin.
The Las Vegas Ballpark has a seating capacity of more than 8,000 people and includes 22 suites, club seats, berm seating, party and kid zones, and a pool.
