The Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas is undergoing a $340 million transformation, updating the rooms, public spaces and amenities. Upon completion, the property will join the World of Hyatt loyalty program.
The first phase of the project, which is redoing 1,400 of the property’s 2,500 rooms, is nearly finished, with a final completion date set for this fall. The hotel offers more than 130,000 square feet of meeting space, all of which will receive new carpeting.
Additionally, the pool deck is going to be revamped to encompass four pools, a waterfall and new cabanas. The five-acre area can host events of up to 3,000 attendees.
The hotel already has introduced six new dining options in the Canteen Food Hall, including Attaboy Burger, Shogun Ramen and Southland Burrito Co. For gamers, new and updated slot machines are being installed in the casino.
The Rio Hotel and Casino will expand Hyatt’s footprint in Las Vegas, becoming the first Destination by Hyatt property in Nevada. From April 1 to June 30, World of Hyatt members can earn 500 bonus points for every qualifying night.
